Expanding Your Programs Beyond the Gym: Understanding Shared-Use Agreements

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many health and fitness centers to close their doors, but it has also presented opportunities to make exercise and physical activity programs more accessible and safe for all. While virtual programs have gained popularity, shared-use agreements offer another alternative for those who may not be comfortable in a traditional gym or may not have regular access to physical activity programs.

In this course, you’ll learn from a panel of experts about how shared-use agreements can enable you to deliver physical activity and exercise programs in parks and other public spaces. Geared towards health and exercise professionals and physical activity advocates, this course covers the fundamental advocacy principles and best practices for obtaining these types of permits.

Expanding Your Services Beyond the Gym

Shared-use spaces not only provide a fresh approach for your clients, but they also offer your business an opportunity to attract new clients in new spaces. • Megan Gamble, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, Co-Founder of POWERfit
  • Sameera Rao, Development Project Manager for the City of San Diego Planning Department and leader of the Spaces as Places initiative
